Guam - The Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve presented the details of the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act. Guam National Guard Adjutant General Major General Benny Paulino says it's important that government and private employers are aware of the rights and benefits each servicemembers holds.

"Employers cannot deny their employees from leaving their employment to go perform military service, the other thing is during the time the employee is absent their seniority rights and status are retained," he explained.

Paulino adds servicemembers have free access to services from the U.S. Department of Labor and the U.S. Attorney's Office should any employer violate this law.
