Guam - Governor Eddie Calvo signed Bill 95 into law that expands the Chamorro language in the island's public schools. The legislation, introduced by freshman senator Mana Silva Taijeron, requires high school students to take additional courses for the preservation of the language for years to come.

"It establishes continuity in their program all the way up now to the two years required in high school so I think this will give our kids the opportunity to learn our language, the language of the land," said Calvo.
