Guam – Senator Aline Yamashita introduced legislation that would limit the size of campaign signs to 8 square feet from the current size allowed of as much as 192 square feet. Bill 203 will also put into statue a clause for a notice on the signage that the advertisement is approved or authorized by the candidate or the name of the person(s) or organization that paid for the sign.

Yamashita states, "While the size and design of signs is competitive in itself, the distraction caused by campaign signs is a safety concern.  Current regulations must be amended to protect the safety of drivers, passengers, and pedestrians."
