Veterans Affairs official arriving

Guam - Veterans Affairs Secretary Eric Shinseki will be on island this week for the dedication of the Guam Veterans Affairs Community-Based Outpatient Clinic in Agana Heights. The facility has been open for nearly a year servicing patients but concerns have been raised by vets on the island who believe the $4.5 million clinic is too small and is inadequately staffed.

Veterans are looking forward to Shinseki's visit to express concerns they have about a variety of issues including their inability to access care and their hopes for an expanded clinic to service their needs. 

The dedication ceremony is scheduled for May 24.
