Guam - Senior citizens that are provided legal help through the Department of Public Health's Legal Assistance Service Program are left without this service for now. Department of Public Health Director Jim Gillan announced Tuesday morning that the program for senior citizens has been suspended. According to a press release, the Division of Senior Citizens, DPHSS is working to secure another Service Provider for the remainder of the fiscal year.

In the meantime, DPHSS will establish a Waiting List on a first-come, first-served basis. The agency apologizes for any inconvenience during this transition time and asks for the community's understanding and patience.

Older persons needing more information on legal services are encouraged to call the Division of Senior Citizens at 735-7382.
