Guam - In Little League Baseball news, a media conference was held yesterday at the Dededo Sports Complex Field to announce that the 2011 Asia-Pacific Regional Little League Tournament will be held in Guam. The games will be held at the Guam Sports Complex facility despite its poor conditions.  Guam Little League District Administrator Stephen Guerrero said that the fields are pretty rough but will be ready in time for the games.

He said, "As far as fields are concerned we have always had trouble every year going out and trying to find fields for our teams to play on, not only in the North but also all over the island. Guam Little League is a composition of 3 leagues that operate independently through out the year and then towards the end of the season when it comes to tournament time that's when the Guam Little League District gets involved in the administrative program in holding the regional and also the local tournaments.

"This year we are going to host the 2011 ASPAC Majors Tournament here on Guam and that will be from July 8th through the 15th. So far we have 9 confirmed countries coming, 10 including Guam and we hope to have a great tournament."
