Guam - 30-year-old Galileo Cacapit Cruz has been appointed an attorney to represent him in a child pornography and forfeiture case. Cruz was indicted by a federal grand jury last month accused of accepting pictures of minors engaged in sexually explicit acts at his home in latte heights.

A year ago FBI agency executed a search warrant at the residence and seized numerous items after they had determined, through IP addresses, that someone had received and transmitted the pornographic images on eight different occasions since November 2009.

The District Court judge appointed Federal Public Defender John Gorman to represent him. Cruz is scheduled to answer to the charges on May 23.
