Port advised to repair pier corrosion soon

Guam - The Port Authority of Guam's insurance company is recommending that the agency fast track repairs to the F-5 Pier. The area was closed down while an assessment was conducted as concerns were raised about the structural integrity of the pier. 

The review found that much of the damage is from corrosion and a recommendation was made that the port continue normal operations but begin discussions on making repairs immediately as conditions will worsen. 

The port management team has been tasked with developing a plan for those repairs.
