Guam - Following the news of the death of Osama bin Laden, Guam governor Eddie Calvo issued the following statement: "Our sons and daughters in combat fought and died to end the terrorism bin Laden led. Let us all pray that the U.S. fight against terror can begin coming to an end, so we can bring justice to those who lost their lives to end the terror on us all.

"To each of the families of the 39 sons and daughters of Guam and Micronesia who gave their lives for our freedom: this day will join the memory of your loved ones for eternity. And to all Guam's sons and daughters, and their brothers and sisters in arms throughout the country, who fought and are fighting in this war: thank you for your courage and for your love for freedom. This day would not have come without you."
