Copper wire theft at Naval Base

Naval Base Guam public affairs officer Annette Donner confirms copper wire was stolen from the Navy property next to the Piti Power Plant. She states it was discovered Tuesday that the copper wire taken is estimated at a value of $150,000.

Guam - Naval Base Guam public affairs officer Annette Donner confirms copper wire was stolen from the Navy property next to the Piti Power Plant. She states it was discovered Tuesday that the copper wire taken is estimated at a value of $150,000.

Donner adds the theft is currently under investigation by the Navy Criminal Investigative Division of Base Security Department. No other details about the theft are being released at this time. Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact Guam Crimestoppers at 477- HELP (4357).
