Calvo declares May Guam Nurses Month
Governor Calvo also declared May 13 as Navy Nurses Day in honor of the 103rd birthday of the Navy Nurses Corps.

By KUAM NewsGuam - Recognizing the instrumental role they play in caring for the sick and elderly and keeping residents healthy, Governor Eddie Calvo proclaimed May as Guam Nurses Month. Calvo also declared May 13 as Navy Nurses Day in honor of the 103rd birthday of the Navy Nurses Corps.
Activities for the month-long celebration include a nurses' mass, a nursing conference, a fun run/walk and a banquet and recognition and awards ceremony.
