Guam - Guam is one of several states and territories that will receive federal funding for a study to prevent obesity. A five-year, $25 million U.S. Department of Agriculture grant will fund the research to determine environmental factors that contribute to obesity in children living in Hawaii, Alaska, Guam, Hawaii and the CNMI.
The grant money is supposed to assist researchers develop programs to promote healthy eating.
