Calvo working on decolonization group
Guam - Governor's chief of staff Frank Arriola said the governor is actively working to convene both the Commission on Decolonization and the Guam First Commission. He adds that "As the speaker is aware there are serious legal concerns over the Guam First Commission brought up by both the attorney general and the chief justice."
Arriola added the Administration has reached out to the Legislature to correct the deficiencies in the inorganic law. And that they hope to hear from the legislature's legal counsel soon.
In the meantime, Governor Calvo will continue to hold and host community forums to put Guam first, like the most recent one concerning decolonization and political status."
