Guam - Another roundtable will be held. Up for discussion will be the shoreline erosion occurring at the Nimitz Beach Park. It's an issue Senator Tina Rose Muna Barnes has been following closely and has been gathering input from Agat residents.

"What we want to do is come back together as stakeholders look at these recommendations," she said. "Look at the solutions that we have on the floor today. And see what will be the best."

The erosion at the park is one of the areas studied by Knight Enterprises. During tomorrow's roundtable the company will present their coastal inundation and erosion hazard assessment on South Agat Bay Guam. One of the recommendations to mitigate the erosion at the Nimitz Beach Park would be to create a 60' buffer zone from the shoreline. According to the report it would mean that some of the existing park facilities would have to be sacrificed.

In the meantime Thursday's roundtable is scheduled for noon in the Legislature's Public Hearing Room.
