Guam - Hoping to make a dent in Guam's unemployment numbers, the Department of Labor and the Guam Contractors Association will co-host an islandwide job fair on May 6. More than 24 companies are already on board to participate in the upcoming fair that will be held at the University of Guam Field House in Mangilao from 9am to 3pm.

The goal of the event is to foster and promote wage earner welfare in Guam and identify the need to enhance opportunities for occupational training and profitable employment.

Labor director Leah Beth Naholowaa says the fair is one of many projects the agency is working on to advance the Governor's Workforce Development Agenda.
