Guam - For the first time ever, Guam law enforcement personnel will be required to stay fit - that's if legislation introduced by public safety committee chair senator Adolpho Palacios becomes law. Bill 147 would establish the "Fit to Serve and Protect Act of 2011."

The measure would require the Guam Police Department, the Guam Fire Department and the Department of Corrections to develop a physical fitness standard and policy for their uniform personnel. Palacios says the physical training tests would keep the law enforcement personnel in shape and constantly test the type of work they are physically capable of doing.
