Guam - If testimony from the public today was any indication of how lawmakers will vote, Amanda Santos is closer to officially having a seat on the Chamorro Land Trust Commission's board of directors. Several people testified in support of her confirmation during a hearing this morning.
"I will commit myself to serve the Chamorro people and their needs for land ownership to build their homes," she vowed.
Santos if confirmed said she would like to pursue the legacy of her son, the late former senator Angel Santos. The senator played a prominent role in the implementation of the CLTC and its rules and regulations.
