Traffic switches in tri-intersection area

Several changes to report involving the construction through and near the Barrigada tri-intersection first the traffic lanes have shifted along Route 8 and Route 16 to the new concrete pavement along Tiyan for motorists heading towards Hagatna.

Guam - Several changes to report involving the construction through and near the Barrigada tri-intersection first the traffic lanes have shifted along Route 8 and Route 16 to the new concrete pavement along Tiyan for motorists heading towards Hagatna. Second, starting tomorrow the opposite traffic heading north along Route 8 towards Route 16 will be directed to the new concrete pavement.

It is anticipated that minor adjustments may continue through Sunday. Drivers should plan for reduced speeds and are asked to use caution when approaching the construction work sites. Signs meanwhile were erected today in Barrigada, announcing buses and other commercial vehicles are prohibited from traveling through secondary roads in the area, because of the damage its been causing the roadways.
