Guam - Former Agat resident Zarah Rivera is making her mark in a string of independent films. Currently residing in Reno, Nevada, Rivera is in the middle of wrapping up shooting the post-apocalyptic film 26 Years.

In the film, Rivera plays a lone woman who comes to the main character with a serious warning about the world and him. This aspiring actress, 31, who graduated from Oceanview High School in 1997, has done some work on television and has theater experience under her belt as well, starring in such productions like Death of a Salesman and Scapino.

According to her resume on IMDb, she has training in improvisation, stage combat, and the Sanford Meisner Approach. Although Rivera keeps to a busy schedule, this island girl always finds time to come back to the place she calls home.
