Guam - The Department of Corrections is still trying to come up with the cash to pay the penalties it incurred after failing to pay a fine by the U.S. Department of Labor. The agency was fined $9,000 last year, for failing to pay more than a million dollars owed to employees for overtime.

It's money that's still owed, according to DOC Spokesperson. Lt. Antone Aguon, who said, "All we're waiting for basically is money to pay it out. All the paperwork has been processed on our side as far as the time keeping right now we're just waiting for money we don't have the money now."

Aguon adds for Fiscal Year 2010, DOC owes $1.6 million in overtime, while $218,000 is owed for the current fiscal year.
