Court staffers donate $5,000 to Japan

Guam - The support from Guam to our northern neighbors in Japan continues, as Chief Justice F. Philip Carbullido presented $5,000 in donations from court employees to Japan Consul General Yoshiyuki Kimura.
His Honor noted how ethics preclude the Judiciary from soliciting donations directly, so staffers took up their own collection to help victims of last month's earthquake and tsunami near Honshu.
"Kind words and kind actions are very much appreciated in times of suffering," noted Kimura, "Any contribution, no matter how big or small, are, to us, considered a treasure."
