Guam - As a result of Tuesday's attorney general's opinion deeming a section of public law related to the Guam Memorial Hospital's board of trustees as inorganic, Healthcare Committee Chair Senator Dennis Rodriguez, Jr. immediately introduced Bill 127 to repeal those provisions so the Guam Legislature can legally entertain Governor Eddie Calvo's recent nominations to the GMH board.
Sen. Rodriguez told KUAM News, "The question out there is whether the board he's impaneling now without a legislative confirmation is still there. So what we want to do is speed up the process give the governor the ability to improve what he needs to do at the hospital with a legislative-confirmed board of trustees."
