Army Corps of Engineers to assess schools

Guam - The Office of Insular Affairs has launched the insular schools: assessment of buildings and classrooms initiative. As such, the Army Corps of Engineers has been contracted to generate a report that provides assessments of public schools throughout the territories.

Assistant Secretary of Insular Areas Tony Babauta says the study would result in a useful tool to empower island leaders and local departments when making decisions to prioritize resources.

The inventory and assessment will go on over the next 14 months.
