Guam - U.S. Department of the Interior Assistant Secretary for Insular Affairs Tony Babauta pledged continued financial support for Guam this week. Babauta met with Lieutenant Governor Ray Tenorio and Guam State Clearing House Administrator Eric Palacios in Washington, DC, discussing the potential for Guam to gain $1 million in technical assistance grant funds.

Babauta stated the funding was returned by various insular jurisdictions. The funding will be made available through the Insular Management Control Program that affected agencies can submit a comprehensive and realistic corrective action plan application for to help address deficiencies in their agencies.
