Guam - Governor Eddie Calvo today signed a proclamation declaring March 24-31 as Farmer's Appreciation Week. Local farmers and members of the northern and southern conservation districts joined Department of Agriculture Director Mariquita Taitague during the presentation.

Chamorro Affairs president Jospeh Cameron also announced that they are working to better promote our local farmer's in the community, saying, "Many years ago the farmers were very active in a co-op in Hagatna, and one of the things the governor asked me in heading-up Chamorro Village is that I need to grow the participation of farmers back in the Chamorro Village, so if you have any type of interest I have the location, you just have to call me."
