Guam - More than 500 public sector employees continue to wait for a Superior Court judge to make a ruling on whether the government will pay merit bonuses for their superior performances over the years. A case filed against the government in 1998 set precedence for the government to pay the bonuses.

A class action lawsuit filed in December of last year by Bureau of Statistics & Plans administrative assistant Marylou Gogo is currently pending a court decision on whether the employees are entitled to the additional pay even though the government contends it can't afford implementing the law and how far back they may be entitled to that pay.
