Guam - The recent earthquake and tsunami in Japan have brought widespread devastation and destruction to our neighbors in Asia on an unfathomable scale. The KUAM Careforce is asking our audience to join us in reaching out to Japan as we present a special pledge night of programming on Tuesday, March 22 on KUAM-TV8 and KUAM-TV11.

It kicks off at 6:30pm on KUAM TV8 with a special edition of KUAM News Extra – "Help for Japan: Reaching Out to Our Pacific Neighbors". During this program, we'll interview local organizations and community leaders to learn what they are doing to assist in the tragedy and how you can join them. We'll also give our viewers the opportunity to make pledges of support to Japan through our interactive text and phone lines throughout the evening.

Following the special edition of KUAM News Extra, join the KUAM News Team throughout the broadcast night for special cutins featuring ways to help and give your support for quake and tsunami victims. All proceeds will benefit the American Red Cross.
