Guam - The Legislative Committee on Rules returned the application packets for four of the governor's nominees to sit on the Guam Memorial Hospital board of trustees. Despite Governor Eddie Calvo using his organic authority to select the members, Vice Speaker B.J. Cruz sent the packets back to Adelup because of concerns as to whether there was a violation of existing law that states GMH board candidates must be nominated by the Trustees Nominating Council.

The four packets returned are for Frances Mantanona, Dr. Ricardo Terlaje, Albert Gurusamy, and Dr. Edna Santos.

In the meantime, Health Committee Chair Senator Dennis Rodriguez, Jr. has scheduled an informational briefing to discuss GMH's financial condition with the interim hospital administration on March 16 at 1pm at the Legislature's Public Hearing Room.
