WASC gives exit report to JFK, EduBoard
Guam - John F. Kennedy High School received positive reviews from a visiting team from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges during the exit report at the JFK campus in Tiyan. WASC officials have been on island, making assessments and interviewing teachers and students throughout the visit, which began on Sunday.
Today, the findings were reported to the superintendent and members of the Guam Education Board. JFK Accreditation Coordinator Lorena Montague says she's happy with the outcome of the visit and thanks teachers and students for their hard work. "We started from scratch. When we moved twice, all the data for our self-study, all the information, we didn't know where to locate them. So we had to start from scratch. We had to build our own resources to get the information we needed," she told KUAM News.
JFK is expected to receive the full results of the visit sometime in June. Officials are hoping to receive the full six-year accreditation from WASC.
