Guam - The Federal Highway Administration's Rochelle Tacara is on island this week for a regular visit. One of the issues she's discussing is the Route 2 project that has been halted. The Department of Public Works fired contractor Hubtech after they were found in violation of local and federal regulations.

DPW will meet with the bond company, Alpha Insurers, this week to discuss their findings of the project.  Discussions with the Federal Highway Administration will determine who will pay the contractor for the minimal work that was completed on the project that should have been finished last December.
