USAF general speaks to island Rotarians
The Rotary Club of Guam was given and insider's look into activities at Andersen Air Force Base this afternoon.
Guam - The Rotary Club of Guam was given and insider's look into activities at Andersen Air Force Base this afternoon. The Rotarians hosted Brigadier General John Doucette as their speaker during today's meeting at the Marriot. Doucette spoke to the members about a recent exercise between Japanese and united states pilots and support personnel.
"And for two weeks they will actually fly missions together so they will plan brief fly and come back and debrief and talk about what went right and what went wrong but most important part is thing is for two weeks we get to interoperate with our allies form Japan," he said.
Doucette says the yearly exercise was a success. He says he welcomed the chance to speak with the island community about such exercises conducted by the Air Force. Doucette was accompanied by a group of airman and says the meeting was a good opportunity to showcase the members of the military. In addition Doucette was accompanied by military personnel who had spent time in Afghanistan and was able to share his experiences with the Guam Rotarians.
