Route 16 traffic shifting on Wednesday

By KUAM NewsGuam - Important news if you travel through the tri-intersection area in Barrigada: the Department of Public Works will be introducing a new traffic pattern along Route 16. The traffic shift will be implemented between 10 tomorrow morning until 2 in the afternoon.
To continue with concrete paving on the project, drivers on the northern end of the construction zone on Route 16 will be shifted onto the newly placed concrete pavement fronting Tiyan for a short distance. They will then be shifted back to the existing roadway upon leaving the construction area. This minor short-term shift is needed to set up for the major shift of traffic toward Tiyan in the coming weeks.
Drivers are urged to slow down and proceed with caution. Traffic controls will be in place to assist in the direction and flow and to ensure a smooth transition.
