Guam - Acting Governor Ray Tenorio, who chairs the Islandwide Beautification Task Force, held a cleanup at one of Guam's scenic views today. The Task Force's mission is to help spruce up all of Guam by starting in places such as the Libugun Vista Point in Maina.

Many volunteers showed up today to help with the effort. Project manager for the Task Force Kelly Basilia says a local family owns the property, saying, "It's not a government park. It's privately owned by the Terjales, and we got their permission and blessing to move forward. Over the weekend last week Saturday, it took about a week to do this project. Something like this would take at least two weeks to plan but over the weekend, the acting governor had decided to have this point, designate this point, to our office to take care of. We gathered a bunch of volunteers and partnering agencies."

Volunteers from the Asan/Maina Mayor's Office, the Probation Office and clients from the Department of Youth Affairs along with Government of Guam employees and organizations took part in today's event.
