Guam - Although today was initially the deadline for comments to be submitted in response to the latest draft version of the Programmatic Agreement, the word from Adelup today is that it's actually been extended to March 3 - next Thursday. Whatever the date, We Are Guahan and the Guam Preservation Trust's position hasn't wavered

"We submitted our initial comments in August and September of last year and at this point the Department of Defense has not really addressed those so at this point we are standing united with the National Trust for Historic Preservation, as well as the Guam Preservation Trust in terms of our concerns, which remain the same with the Programmatic Agreement," said Attorney Leevin Camacho with We Are Guahan.

The two groups maintain the PA does not address alternative sites for firing ranges other than the area around the ancient village of Pagat. The Programmatic Agreement is supposed to outline how historical and cultural artifacts and property will be handled during the buildup process.
