Guam - If you plan to hit the beaches this weekend, keep in mind that the Guam Environmental Protection Agency has issued 27 beach advisories. This essentially means the beaches have been assessed and determined to be too polluted for sue by the public, so steer clear of them.
Among those on the notorious list are Naton Beach, San Vitores, Dungca's Beach, East Hagatna Bay, Trinchera Beach, Adelup Beach, Asan Bay Beach, Togcha Beach, Bangi Beach, Talofofo Bay and Pago Bay. To view the list issued by the Guam EPA , click here.
Swimming and fishing in these waters could cause illnesses such a sore throat and diarrhea.
