GEC board schedules meeting next week

Guam - The Guam Election Commission's board of directors is scheduled to meet next Wednesday to discuss several matters. Since the last meeting, executive director John Blas submitted his resignation citing personal reasons. 

Stephanie Chargualaf was appointed to oversee the day to day operations until the board selects a new executive director.  The board is expected to discuss putting out an announcement for the position.

Additionally they are expected to discuss the independent member position for the board.  Four individuals applied for the position including former independent board member Robert Cruz.  The board meeting is scheduled for February 23 at 4 in the afternoon.
