Trial for Linda San Nicolas delayed
Guam - Because of ongoing jury trials, the sentencing of former Department of Labor Alien Labor Processing and Certification administrator Linda San Nicolas has been delayed. San Nicolas was scheduled to appear in the District Court of Guam this morning but the matter was taken off calendar to be rescheduled at a later time.
San Nicolas pleaded guilty last year of accepting $16,000 in bribes while director. During her time as director, records for thousands possibly even thousands of alien workers who came to Guam since 1998 mysteriously went missing from DOL. Hundreds of pages were ripped out the agency's official logbook that had an account of fees that had been generated for each alien worker on Guam.
There's been no word yet on when she'll be back in court for her sentencing.
