Guam - Guam Land Use Commission chairperson Jay Lather says there's never been any political influence when it comes to variances for Younex's workforce housing in Harmon and Emerald Oceanview Towers project in Jonestown. Senator Judi Guthertz wrote a letter to Lather demanding an explanation as to why the projects were approved considering the recent court action to null and void the variance for the Jonestown project and repeated concerns from the Justice Department regarding the Workforce Housing Project in Harmon.

Lather defends that the GLUC handled both projects in accordance with Guam law.
