Joint US/Japan units train in Cope North

The U.S. Air Force, Navy and units from the Japan Air Self-Defense Force began their exercise Cope North today, which will run until February 25.

Guam - The U.S. Air Force, Navy and units from the Japan Air Self-Defense Force began their exercise Cope North today, which will run until February 25. The exercise is the latest in a series of bilateral exercises designed to enhance air operations.

Its purpose is to provide a venue for bilateral cooperation between the U.S. and Japanese air forces. The community should be aware that there will be increased activity around Andersen Air Force Base in Yigo related to the exercise.
