Judge awaits motion on land case
Superior Court Judge Arthur Barcinas will hear a motion to dismiss in a civil suit filed against the Government of Guam and the Ancestral Lands Commission.
By KUAM NewsGuam - Superior Court Judge Arthur Barcinas will hear a motion to dismiss in a civil suit filed against the Government of Guam and the Ancestral Lands Commission. Maria Gange, Jesus Charfauros, Ana Chargualaf and Jesus Aguigui filed suit against the commission to prevent the transfer of former FAA and Marbo properties to Tiyan landowners.
The plaintiffs argued the transfer would only benefit a few ancestral land owners instead of all of them. Tiyan landowners filed a motion to intervene and filed a motion to dismiss the civil suit, alleging they are being harmed by not being given the land as provided for by Guam law.
