EPA, Coast Guard updating Cocos Cleanup
Guam - At the bottom of the hour, the Guam Environmental Protection Agency along with the U.S. Coast Guard will provide an update on a cleanup project at Cocos Island that's been ongoing since 2005. At that time a fish advisory was issued after several fish samples tested positive for PCB.
The source of the contamination was from the former Coast Guard Station that operated on Cocos Island from 1944 to 1963. Tonight's meeting starts at 6:30 at the Merizo Senior Citizens Center.
