Home for the holidays is rugby standout, Alejandra Ada. Ada, a 2018 graduate of Academy of Our Lady of Guam, is visiting after a successful semester and undefeated rugby season at Dartmouth College. She recently sat down to talk about being part of team Big Green.

It was on May 3 of this year that Alejandra Ada put pen to paper signing her letter of intent to attend and play rugby for Dartmouth College, a Division I Ivy League College located in New Hampshire. The rugby standout says that she's been playing the contact sport since middle school.

"So I started playing rugby when I was in 6th grade, but it was just flag. And we moved to tackle when I moved to high school," she said.

Ada, who is currently a freshman at the New Hamshire ivy league school, was a member of the high school rugby all-island team after an impressive undefeated regular season with the Academy of Our Lady of Guam Cougars.

During her senior year at Academy, she attended a Nike Rugby Camp stateside where her skills would catch the eye of Dartmouth's Head Coach Katie Dowty. It's what led to her recruitment.

Ada left for Dartmouth in August to start school and of course to begin training for the season officially.
