Taijeron pushes southern erosion issue

Guam - Senator Mana Silva Taijeron is questioning the efforts or the lack thereof for the mitigation plans to stop the erosion of the Nimitz Beach Park in Agat. Concerns were raised as several of the facilities at the park were literally in the water. Taijeron is asking Department of Parks & Recreation director Peter Calvo whether or not the report from the Army Corps of Engineers has been finalized.

The report is expected to detail specific instructions as to how the government can stop further deterioration of the land. She adds that it's a similar issue to the deterioration of the shoreline at Talafofo Bay and Inarajan.
