All testimony positive for Camacho nomination

Prior to this afternoon's discussion on the government's finances, John Camacho appeared before the committee for his confirmation hearing.

Guam - Prior to this afternoon's discussion on the government's finances, John Camacho appeared before the committee for his confirmation hearing. Several individuals from the community testified in support of his nomination, including Robert Steffy, who said he's worked with Camacho professionally over the last three decades.

"He's an honest, hardworking dedicated public servant he and art did a good job in the last administration," he said.

Camacho has served in various capacities at the Department of Revenue & Taxation, most recently as banking and insurance commissioner. He also served as deputy director and deputy tax commissioner.  He holds a bachelor's of business administration degree in accounting and management from the University of Guam.
