Guam - Inline with federal guidelines for political advertisements, Senator Rory Respicio has introduced legislation that would mandate local political candidates to appear in television ads stating they personally approve of them. Senator Respicio says by increasing personal accountability this will help curb negative advertising, especially if they're inaccurate.

Bill 27 also requires third party ads in support of a candidate be required to have a disclaimer indicating it was done without the approval of the candidate.
