Resolution restores voting rights in House

Guam - House Democratic Whip Steny H. Hoyer has introduced a resolution to restore floor voting rights to the Delegates of the US territories. The first major act of the Republican-controlled House on Thursday was to strip those privileges from delegates from the District of Columbia, American Samoa, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, US Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.

Hoyer says "Republicans continually declare they are focused on listening to the American people. With this rules change, they are ignoring the voices of 5 million American citizens."
