Guam - Today marks the first full day on the job for Governor Eddie Calvo and Lieutenant Governor Ray Tenorio. It began with a flag-raising ceremony at eight o'clock this morning followed by an ecumenical service at the Latte of Freedom. Governor Calvo has said his top priority will first be to stabilize the Government of Guam's finances; he takes office facing an almost $100 million budget shortfall.

During his Inaugural Address yesterday, the governor embraced members of the 31st Guam Legislature, calling on them to open the lines of communication and work together toward a common vision.
