Guam - 27-year-old Vanderray Barcinas Mundo is scheduled to appear in the Superior Court today to find out when he will go to trial. Mundo is accused of brutally beating a 3-year-old boy to the point the toddler received tearing to his stomach and intestine.  The child also sustained bruising and swelling to his forehead, eyes and leg and was in the intensive care unit for two months.

Mundo pleaded not guilty to charges of family violence, child abuse and aggravated assault and is being held on $15,000 cash bail.
