Guam - The cafeteria at Agueda Johnston Middle School has been in disrepair for the past three months. Staff and students tell KUAM News that the heat becomes so unbearable that students prefer to spend lunch time outside.

According to Department of Education acting facilities and maintenance manager Billy Cruz, DOE currently has a contract for minor and major repairs and maintenance for units, but not for replacements.

He says scope of work for that contract will be determined when Sodexo completes its facilities action plan next week.
