Guam - The ACEI organization is holding a fundraising bowling event this Saturday at Central Lanes in Tamuning. The Islandwide 9-pin Spectacular is sponsored by the University of Guam School of Education student organization and the Association for Childhood Education International.

Ria Hameister, the ACEI's vice president, told KUAM Sports, "This Saturday ACEI, which is the Association for Childhood Education International will be hosting a bowling event at Central Lanes from 1:00 p.m to 4:00 p.m. The tickets are $10.00 each and they include 2 games, shoes and a ball. We decided to bowling because it gets everyone active and it's a family event, which we like to support parents taking their children to have events with them and not just have them sit in front of the television or anything like that."

The bowling event will help parents spend quality time with their kids while being active and having fun with a sport that fits all ages. If the event is successful the organization says they plan on making it an annual event they will add to their calendar along with their 2 other major events for the year.

Hameister acdded, "Our organization promotes early childhood education and we go and help out the community whenever they need us. We do activities such as face painting, marble painting, many different activities for the kids that they enjoy just to keep their smile on their faces and as future teachers that's what we want to do. We want to see the smiles on kid's faces and encourage them to keep on going to school. It's just to go out to the community and to help the kids. Our advisor is Dr. Jackson and a lot of thanks to her for putting this together for us."
